Terms of service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the ShiftWallet mobile application (the "App") operated by Digital Nafta Portal FZCO ("we", "us" or "our").

By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Description of service

ShiftWallet is a work shift tracking and paycheck management application that allows you to:

• Log and track work shifts, including start and end times and breaks
• Calculate overtime, night shift and holiday differentials based on the rules you set
• Verify paycheck accuracy against logged hours, using gross or net pay
• Scan paychecks and ask questions about them with AI features
• Estimate tax withholdings and net pay
• Set up geofencing for automatic clock in and out
• Sync shifts with your iOS Calendar
• Back up your work data to the cloud and export it for your records

The App is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch and Swedish.

2. Accounts

You can use the App without creating an account. In that case the App creates an anonymous account on our servers so your work data can be backed up. You can create an account at any time using email, Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, and your existing data is linked to it. An account lets you restore your data on another device and delete your account and data from within the App. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate account information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the App.

3. Free and Pro features

ShiftWallet offers both free and premium features. The App shows which features require ShiftWallet Pro, and the list may change over time.

Free features

• Shift tracking (clock in and out, manual entry, breaks, overnight shifts) for one job
• Live earnings, Apple Watch app, widgets and Live Activities
• Weekly and monthly hour and earnings summaries
• Geofencing, location-based clock-in suggestions and iOS Calendar sync
• Default pay rules for your country, including a "No overtime" option
• Cloud backup, sign-in and CSV export
• One complimentary paycheck verification

Pro features

• Unlimited jobs
• Custom overtime, night premium and pay rate rules
• Paycheck verification and discrepancy detection
• AI paycheck scanner, analysis and chat
• Tax estimation
• PDF, Excel and full data export
• Recurring schedules
• Advanced charts and trend reports

AI features

The AI features are part of ShiftWallet Pro. They run through our secure relay using our own OpenAI account, so you do not need an API key. A daily fair-use limit applies. How we handle the data sent to the AI features is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. In-app purchases

Existing one-time purchases. Versions before 2.1 offered ShiftWallet Pro as a one-time purchase. Customers who purchased this lifetime upgrade retain their Pro access and do not need a subscription. Eligible purchases can be recovered using Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for the purchase, subject to Apple's purchase validation and refund status.

Subscriptions (version 2.1 and later). New customers can choose an annual subscription at $79.99 USD per year or a weekly subscription at $12.99 USD per week. The App Store purchase confirmation displays the applicable local price, taxes, billing period and offer before you confirm. Prices can vary by region.

Annual free trial. Eligible customers may receive a seven-day free trial on the annual plan. After the trial, the annual subscription renews at the price displayed when you subscribe unless you cancel. The weekly plan has no free trial. Apple determines introductory-offer eligibility within the subscription group, so an offer may not be available if you have used one before.

Billing and cancellation. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account may be charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. To avoid a charge after a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings or through Manage Subscription in the App. Deleting the App or your ShiftWallet account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Restoring access. Use Restore Purchases in the App to recover an active subscription or a valid existing lifetime purchase. Restoring a purchase does not start a new paid plan.

Payment is processed through Apple's App Store. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA).

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Important disclaimers

Not financial or legal advice. ShiftWallet provides tools for tracking work hours and estimating earnings and taxes. Tax estimates, paycheck calculations and overtime computations are approximations only and should not be considered professional financial, tax or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for financial decisions.

No guarantee of accuracy. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that paycheck verification results, tax estimates or overtime calculations will be 100% accurate. Tax laws, overtime rules and pay structures vary by jurisdiction and employer, and the default rules the App suggests for a country may not match your contract. You are responsible for verifying all financial information independently.

AI output can be wrong. The AI paycheck scanner, analysis and chat can misread a document or give an incorrect or incomplete answer. Always check AI results against your paycheck and your contract before relying on them.

6. User responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Provide accurate shift and employment data
• Only upload paychecks and documents that you are entitled to share
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the App
• Not use the App to harass, abuse or harm others
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data, or to misuse the AI relay
• Not use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, features, content and branding, is owned by Digital Nafta Portal FZCO and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Data and privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use and protect your data. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
• We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
• Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any)
• We are not responsible for any financial losses resulting from reliance on the App's calculations, estimates, AI results or paycheck verification results

10. Service availability

We strive to keep the App available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend or modify the App, including the cloud backup and AI features, for maintenance, updates or other reasons without prior notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

11. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App (Settings > Delete Account). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, specifically the regulations applicable in the Dubai International Financial Zone (DIEZ/IFZA). Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Dubai, UAE.

14. Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and Digital Nafta Portal FZCO, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
