Write to me

Email jan@digitalnafta.com. It comes to me, Jan, the person who makes ShiftWallet.

The quickest way is the support link inside the app: your email app opens with the app version, the iOS version and the device model already filled in. If a number looks wrong, tell me the job's country and rates and the shift's start, end and break, and what you expected to see.

Restore Pro on a new phone

Sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchases in the app. It brings back an active subscription, or the lifetime upgrade if you bought Pro before version 2.1. Restoring doesn't start a new paid plan.

Cancel a subscription

Cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings, or through Manage Subscription in the app, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app or your ShiftWallet account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription.

Refunds

Apple handles refunds for anything bought in the app. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Moving to a new phone

Your shifts are backed up to the cloud even without an account. To get them back on another iPhone or iPad, create an account with Apple, Google or email in the app first, then sign in with it on the new device.

Exporting your shifts

Export your shifts to CSV for free. PDF timesheets, Excel files and a full JSON copy come with Pro.

Deleting your account and data

In the app, go to Settings > Delete Account while signed in. Your data is removed from the device straight away and from the servers within 30 days. If you never created an account, Settings > Clear Local Data erases your data from the phone and from its cloud backup. The privacy policy has the details.

When a shift's pay looks wrong

Most of the time it's a rule rather than the sum. Check these first:

  • The country of the job. Spain, the US, the UK and Germany come with their usual rules, and in Germany the template for the § 3b premiums is already picked when you set up the job. Anywhere else, ShiftWallet starts from zero and you set your own.
  • Whether the night premium is switched on, and its window. The night window uses whole hours (22:00, not 22:30).
  • Whether the break is paid or unpaid.
  • The overtime week. It runs Sunday to Saturday in the US and Monday to Sunday elsewhere.

The questions page covers what the app does and doesn't do, and the calculators let you check one shift or one week by hand.
